Working Together

The article talks about how scientist work together to help find and discover new fossils such as the new baby Mammoth the first of its kind and still parshally intack. This article also talks about how every Archeologist should work together to help find rare and valuable fossils in stead of keeping there discoveries to themselves. In fact the father of an Archeologist quotes "It's a pity. If we worked together, we'd have great results."

I feel that Archeologist should continue to share their discoveries with the rest of the excavation world. The baby Mammoth was found through the help of a native from Sibiria who gave a tip to another Archeologist. Thrilled by his luck he called a fellow Archeologist and they and their team help discover one of the greatest fossils ever found. Thanks to the help of these Archeologist and their team we now understand more about the past and how animals work together. This is only one example of how working together benifits us all. Stegosaurus vs Megaraptor

V.S.

Stegosaurus

Length - 26-30 feet long (8-9 m) long

Height - 9 feet (2.75 m) tall at the hips

Weight - 6,800 pounds (3100 kg)

Facts: The Stegosaurus has 17 bony plates along it's back and 4 spikes on it's flexible tail.

Megaraptor

Length - 20-26 feet (6-8 m) long

Height - roughly 6 ft (2 m) tall at the hips

Weight - Unknown

Facts: The Megaraptor has 2 large sickle-like claws on it's toes and the Megaraptor is also very quick and agile.

Without a doupt the Stegosaurus would win. These dinosaurs both have a natural weapon, a natural defense and lighting fast reflexes.

The Stegosaurus has it's mighty tail as its natural weapon however the megaraptor only has it's microscopic toe claw. The Stegosaurus tail would completly crush the Megaraptor before it's toe claw could come even close to the Stegosaurus. Sure the Megaraptor also has it claws on its hands but like I said it could not even come close the stegosaurus. Not to mention the Megaraptors miniscule claws could not even injure the Stegosaurus.

The Megaraptor's defense is the exact same thing as it's natural weapon, it's pathetic toe claws and hand claws. While the Stegosaurus not only has it's tail spikes, but it also has it's 17 spikes along it's back. Whenever the Megaraptor even thinks about attacking it will be jabbed by the Stegosaurus's back spikes leaving it horribly injured.

It is true that the Megaraptor has superor running speed, but that only proves that it would be quick run away in a fight. Not to mention the Stegosaurus's tail is lighting fast and can easily stop the Megaraptor in it's tracks and it woul never run away from a fight. The Megaraptor is actually said to run away from a fight says many archeologist.

Spinosaurus vs Giganotosaurus

Length - 44-46 ft (13.5-14.3 m)long

Height - 13 ft (3.9 m) tall at the hips

Weight - 8 tons

Facts: It is one of the longest meat-eating dinosaurs yet discovered. It walks on two legs and has enormous jaws with 8-inch long serrated teeth in its 6-foot (1.8 m) long skull. It also has a banana sized brain.

Spinosaurus

Length - 40-50 feet (12-15 m) long

Weight - 4 tons or more

Facts: It has many powerful teeth in its crocodile-like mouth. It also has it's neural spine, that is about 6 feet (1.8) meters long. It may have also walked on all fours, because of its large claws.

There is no doupt in my mind that the Giganotosaurus would win. It has its powerful jaw that would completley crush the Spinosaurus. In fact when the Giganotosaurus skeleton was first discovered a 75 foot long plant eating dinosaur was found right next to the Giganotosaurus which Scientist say is most likely its prey. Not to mention the Giganotosaurus is much faster and could easily catch up to the Spinosaurus when it runs away from the Gigantosaurus. The Gigantosaurus is also much more longer and limber then the Spinosaurus so it can attack the spinosaurus from a farther and by the time the Spinosaurus thinks about using its pathetic claws it would be to late.

Ankylosaurus vs Triceritops

Facts: Ankylosaurus is a tank-like dinosaur, with many thick, oval plates fused into its leathery thick skin. It also has two rows of spikes along its body and has spikes on the back of its head covering its blind spot. This dinosaur has a club like tail. It also has plates for protection over its eyes.

Triceratops

Length - 30 feet (9 m) long

Height - 7 ft (2 m) tall at the hips

Weight- 6-12 tons

Facts: Triceratops is a rhinoceros dinosaur, with three horns on its large skull. It has two large horns about 3 feet or 1 meter long above its eyes. It also has one small above its parrot-like beak. It has a large skull, up to 10 feet (3 m) long

Who do you think would win in head to head battle: the mighty Ankylosaurus or the pathetic Triceratops?

Both of these dinosaurs have a natural weapon; the Ankylosaurus has it's club-like tail, and the Triceratops has it's Popsicle sticks it calls horns. The Ankylosaurus mighty tail can break bones and travel at incredible speeds. The Triceratops flimsy horns can only travel as fast the Triceratops can ram and it's minuscule horns are not even flexible. The Ankylosaurus also has its many spikes along its body and small horns on its head. This proves that the Ankylosaurus completely over powers the Triceratops.

The Ankylosaurus also has many defenses as well. The Ankylosaurus has its large shell that covers all of its body except for it's under belly. The Ankylosaurus also has many spikes on its back and for many small predators climbing on a dinosaurs back is usually a first attack strategy. The Ankylosaurus also has plates protecting its eyes and horns that cover its blind spot making it fully protected. The Triceratops only has its large skull that would shatter just at the sight of the Ankylosauruses tail. This proves that the Ankylosaurus has far better defense.

It is true that the Ankylosaurus is slower that the Triceratops but it gains so much more. It's shell is very heavy but the Triceratops even at its top speed could not even dent the Ankylosauruses shell. The Ankylosauruses tail weighs a ton and it is amazing it can just lift it, not to mention it can travel a incredible speeds as well. The Ankylosaurus does not even need speed because it will never back down from a fight and would never lose. In fact I have seen a scientific video that quotes the T-Rex would run away from a fight against the Ankylosaurus. This video is located at the bottom of the post.

Many archeologist's and scientist say that the Ankylosaurus is far better than most other dinosaurs. It's name Ancylosaurus means tank-like dinosaur and the Triceratops is called the rhinoceros dinosaur; just by the sound of what their names mean you already know that the Ankylosaurus is far better. The scientific video shows the Ankylosaurus breaking a T-Rex's femur one of it's strongest bones. The Ankylosaurus also has many features that other dinosaurs contain. The Ankylosaurus is truly an unstoppable dinosaur.

Majestic Olorotitan

The Olorotitan is said to be one of the most beautiful species of Duck-Billed dinosaurs, in fact it's name in Greek means " Giant swan". This dinosaur is one the most unique dinosaurs ever. This dinosaur is said to be about 40 feet long. It has a large hatchet like hollow crest upon its skull, that can be used for many purposes. This crest was supported by 18 vertebrae in the Olortitan's neck, compared to most Duck-Bills who have on 15-16 vertebrae. This dinosaur also has three different parts to its tail which are all connected by expanded skull bones.

This dinosaurs crest has so many purposes. Is crest can be used for striking enemies and possibly scaring them away. It's crest can also help protect it's head and gives coverage over it's eyes. It can even be used for mating purposes and it helps show this dinosaurs true beauty. Its crest is also said to give off a magical tune that was used for both mating and fighting.

So who do you prefer a swan or the Majestic Olorotitan. In my opinion I find dinosaurs more beautiful and unique then any other animals living today. Even though to some this dinosaur is not appealing I find it truly amazing and I see the inner beauty in this dinosaur. Before you judge a dinosaur learn your facts first.

The Incredible Argentavis

There are many large birds presently however none compare to the incredible Argentavis. One of the largest birds that live today is the Andean Condor with a wing span of about nine feet long and wieghs about 25 pounds. Now compare this to the Arentavis who had a wing span of 25 feet and weighed an amazing 150 to 250 pounds. This dinosaurs size is comaped to the size of a miny plane. This dinosaur is truly inconceivable.

In my opinion I found this article very interesting and I also found it shocking. I enjoied learning about the past and learning about past birds. I also enjoyed trying to picture what it be like if it was living present day, imagine that.
